What is a truffle?
Chocolate truffles are a type of chocolate confectionery, traditionally made with a chocolate ganache center (chocolate and cream) and rolled in cocao powder or other garnishes of choice.
Bittersweet Artisan Truffles are something else entirely. At Bittersweet, with seasonal flavors, we create miniature pieces of art work that are as delicious as they are distinctive. Each bittersweet truffle has a cake or cookie center and then is hand dipped in European chocolates. Each decorated with abstract chocolate swirls or extra pizzazz.
Each truffle is handcrafted in St. Louis with the finest ingredients, including dark, milk and white European chocolate, madagascar vanilla, natural fruit zest, flavorings and much more! We provide delivery in St. Louis and the surrounding areas. Shipping is not available at this time.
These chocolates are unique party favors or gifts for any occasion. All packaging is customized.

Audrey Stoerzbach is the owner and chocolatier behind Bittersweet Artisan Truffles, LLC. We are located in St. Louis, MO.
Audrey graduated from the University of Illinois-Champaign were she earned a degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition with a concentration in Hospitality Management. During her time at the University of Illinois, Audrey had the opportunity to study abroad in Italy where she experienced many culinary delights, and learned about unique flavor combinations and old world craftsmanship of artisan chocolates.
After receiving her bachelor of science degree, Audrey went on to the Culinary Institute of America-Hyde Park to train with accomplished chocolatiers in the making of artisan chocolate and candy making.
Audrey's passion is creating and sharing decadent handcrafted chocolates. Every step of the chocolate making process is done by hand, using the finest ingredients. Each truffle is a piece of art work that will delight all your senses!
